Ensure your visit goes smoothly by planning transportation in advance.

Train at Waverley station

By train or bus

Trains come in to Edinburgh Waverley Station, and buses and coaches to the nearby St Andrews Square bus station. The University can be reached quickly by local buses from Princes Street or by taxi.

By car

Edinburgh is well connected to the UK road and motorway network. You can visit the University by car, but parking is limited at some of our campuses.

By air

Edinburgh International Airport has regular scheduled services to many UK and International destinations.

You can catch an airport bus or tram that will drop you off in the city centre, or you can take a taxi direct to the University.

Local transport

As an urban University, you'll have no trouble finding us if you arrive in the city centre by train or bus. Student Recruitment and Admissions (SRA) is at number 33, Buccleuch Place.
