Getting to Edinburgh

By train

Trains arrive at Edinburgh Waverley Station in the city centre.

By bus

Buses and coaches arrive at St Andrews Square bus station in Edinburgh's city centre.

By car

Edinburgh is well connected to the UK road and motorway network. You can visit the University by car, but parking is limited at some of our campuses.

By air

Edinburgh International Airport has regular scheduled services to many UK and international destinations.

From the airport, you can catch a bus or tram that will drop you off in the city centre, or you can take a taxi direct to the University.

Getting around the city

As an urban University, you'll have no trouble finding us once you arrive in the city centre.

Central area - George Square
Buildings are within walking distance, or you can take buses numbered 5, 14, 29, 30, 41 or 49.
Centre area - Lauriston
Buildings are within walking distance, or you can take buses numbered 10 or 22.
Central area - Holyrood
Buildings are within walking distance, or you can take buses numbered 3, 6, 30, 31 or 33.
King's Buildings
Buses numbered 41 or 67.
Little France
Buses numbered 33 or 49.
Western General
Buses numbered 19, 37 or 113.
Easter Bush
Buses numbered 15 or 67.

There are two local bus companies that operate in Edinburgh.

Finding the Student Recruitment and Admissions offices

The Student Recruitment and Admissions (SRA) offices are at 33 Buccleuch Place.
