How to get here

Ensure your visit goes smoothly by planning transportation in advance.

By train or bus

Trains come in to Edinburgh Waverley Station, and buses and coaches to the nearby St Andrews Square bus station. The University can be reached quickly by local buses from Princes Street or by taxi.

By car

Edinburgh is well connected to the UK road and motorway network. You can visit the University by car but in some campuses parking can be limited.

By air

Edinburgh International Airport has regular scheduled services to many UK and International destinations.

You can catch an airport bus that will drop you off in the city centre or take a taxi direct to the University.

Local transport

As an urban University, you'll have no trouble finding us if you arrive in the city centre by train or bus. Student Recruitment and Admissions (SRA) is at number 33, Buccleuch Place.

Local buses

For the George Square campus, look for bus routes that go past Nicolson Street, Potterrow, Teviot Row or Forrest Road.
For the King's Buildings campus, look for bus routes going past West Mains Road or Mayfield Road.
For the New Royal Infirmary, look for buses that will take you to Little France or the New Royal Infirmary.
For Easter Bush, look for buses going to Easter Bush.
