The Shuttle Service will recommence on Monday 9th September with a new timetable. The service will no longer operate in the evenings or at weekends.
To assist students to use the Murray Library facilities at King's Buildings in the evening and at the weekend, students can make use of free pre-paid bus tickets available at the Murray Library reception on the ground floor.
The shuttle bus operates Monday to Friday during Semester 1 and 2. It does NOT run during the Winter, Spring or Summer vacations.
The bus picks up and drops off in Central Area, Buccleuch Street and King's Buildings.
There is no guarantee that the bus will be able to accommodate all waiting passengers. At busy times the bus can depart Central Area full (Potterrow) and will not be able to pick up at Buccleuch Street (Gifford Park). Please consider alternative options for travelling to the King's Buildings.

The first 10 seats of the shuttle bus must be left free for priority permit holders until departure.
Priority permits are issued to staff and students required to make essential business/study related journeys between University sites to a deadline.
A Priority Permit application form should be completed and authorised by your Personal Tutor. The form can be downloaded from the following webpage (see "Related links").
The shuttle bus does not operate in the evenings and at weekends but plenty of public bus services do, connecting the King’s Buildings with destinations across Edinburgh.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students travelling to King’s Buildings by Lothian Bus services after 18:00 Monday-Friday or any time at the weekend can be supplied with pre-paid Lothian Buses tickets to cover their travel costs at the reception desk of the Murray Library.
