Porridge stall to raise funds for Soweto

For one day only, the Chaplaincy is running a street porridge stall to raise money for its community work in Soweto.

Funds raised from the stall will be used to help bring the Soweto Melodic Voices to the University for an event organised in partnership with the Festival of Spirituality and Peace.

Soweto Melodic Voices is an African youth choir that fundraises for children who are abandoned, abused, disabled or HIV positive.

The choir is made up of 40 young people, many of whom are orphaned or from severely disadvantaged families.
