3 Minute Thesis Competition

We are excited to announce that the University is running a 3 Minute Thesis competition, and we need current PhD students to take part! Think you’ve got what it takes to sum up your thesis in just 3 minutes, with just 1 slide?

Public engagement

This competition is a great opportunity for PhD students at The University of Edinburgh to gain experience in public engagement by communicating their research to an intelligent lay audience.

The College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine heat will take place on Thursday 30th May.

Date: Thursday 30th May 2013

Time: 6.30pm - 9.30pm

Location: Teviot Dining Hall

Competition open to: all PhD students in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine

A panel of judges will choose the top 3 presentations, and there will also be a prize for the most entertaining presentation, as well as a prize voted for by the audience. What’s more... plenty of food will be provided!
