Chancellor’s Award for Professor Helen Cameron

The University has honoured three members of staff for their contribution to teaching and research including Professor Helen Cameron.

Professor Helen Cameron received her 2013 Chancellor’s Award at a gala dinner held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The Chancellor’s Awards are presented in three categories: Rising Star, Research and Teaching.

The winner of the Teaching Award is Professor Helen Cameron, Director of the Centre for Medical Education in the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine.

She was honoured for her contribution to transforming the education of medical students in Edinburgh, Europe and Africa.

The Centre for Medical Education develops the Bachelor of Medicine degree and has built an academic profile supervising higher degrees for clinical educators.

It delivers the successful Edinburgh Summer School and MSc in Clinical Education and creates faculty training for tutors across the South East of Scotland.
