Training course on tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment
This course is aimed at all staff or students who currently wear or will be required to wear tight fitting facemasks (for example 3M7500). Hands on training will be provided during your facefit test, but this course should also be completed to enhance your understanding of how to safely use RPE, as well as its limitations.
Course outline
The course covers the requirement for risk assessment and other control measures before going into more detail about what you can expect during a facefit test and how to look after your reusable mask.
It is recommended that this course is completed annually as a refresher following a hands on training session during facefit testing.

STUDENTS
The course is available but Learn Ultra does not allow students to self-enrol on courses. We are currently working on a solution for this, but if you require access to this training in the meantime, please email safety.training@ed.ac.uk and you will be manually enrolled.
