Who does, and who funds, SHELS?

SHELS is led by the University of Edinburgh in collaboration with NHS Information Services Division (ISD) and National Records Scotland (NRS) and has had several funders.

Who does SHELS?

SHELS is led by the University of Edinburgh in collaboration with NHS Information Services Division (ISD) and National Records Scotland (NRS). ISD is the organisation which collects and stores health data for NHS Scotland. National Records Scotland conduct the census in Scotland.

How has the work been funded?

This work was supported by funding from the Scottish Executive, the Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Government, the British Lung Foundation, Cancer Research UK, Health Protection Scotland and NHS Health Scotland.
