Susan Morrow

Dr Susan Morrow is the Academic Lead and personal tutor for the MSc in Surgical Sciences (Year 1 & 2). She is also Deputy QA Director for the school of Clinical Sciences.

Appointments and Activities 

Dr Morrow joined the department of Clinical Surgery as Academic Lead for the MSc in Surgical Sciences in March 2020.

She is also Deputy QA Director for the school of Clinical Sciences. Susan completed an undergraduate degree in Pharmacology and a PhD in Molecular Biology at the University of Edinburgh. After a 10 year career in academic clinical research she took time out to train as a midwife, qualifying in 2009. 

Since then she has worked as community midwife for NHS Lothian, a biology lecturer in the USA and more recently as a clinical research manager within the University of Edinburgh.
