College of Science & Engineering

Selection Tests for entry to Science and Engineering undergraduate degree programmes

For applicants unable to take standardised tests we offer our own selection tests to meet our entry requirements.

What are the selection tests?

As you have not been able to meet our standard entry requirements using your school leaving qualifactions we are offering you the opportunity to meet these requirements using the University’s own selection test(s).  The offer you have received is a combination of your school qualification grades, which are detailed within your offer, and our Internal Selection Test(s).

Which selection test(s) do I need to take?

The selection test(s) you need to take, and the pass mark you need to get, will depend on which degree programme you have applied for.

How do I take the selection test?

You can take the selection test(s) at a time and place that suits you best. There is no need to travel to a test centre.

Please let us know if you require any specific support to be put in place in order to enable you to undertake the tests. Any adjustments and support need to be agreed ahead of the tests so we can ensure the academic integrity of the test is not compromised.

Once you are ready to take the selection test(s) please complete the booking form.
