Background
I am a PhD candidate in Education at Moray House School of Education and Sport at the University of Edinburgh. Before starting PhD, I finished MSc Education (Comparative Education and International Development pathway) at Moray House from 2018-2019. I have maintained an interest in global/international education and, in particular, the Model United Nations (MUN) programme. For my master's dissertation, I looked at MUN in Scotland in relation to Curriculum for Excellence (the Scottish education policy), through a placement at United Nations House Scotland (UNHS), an Edinburg-based civil society. Since then, I have been working at UNHS as an intern to help expand MUN activities for more primary and secondary schools around Scotland.
My PhD research is about (Global) Citizenship Education in Model UN in China. The research originates from my own experience as a MUN participant since my secondary school.
I have experience in peer reviewing paper submissions to AERA (American Education Research Association) 2024 conference and BERA (British Education Research Association) 2024 conference.
