Thesis title: Citizenship education embedded in Model United Nations: an explorative study on Chinese secondary school students

Background

Yuemiao is a PhD candidate in Education at Moray House School of Education and Sport at the University of Edinburgh. Before starting PhD, she finished MSc Education (Comparative Education and International Development) at Moray House from 2018-2019. She has maintained an interest in global education and, in particular, the Model United Nations (MUN) programme. Her PhD research is about (Global) Citizenship Education in Model UN in China. She also looked at MUN in Scotland in relation to Curriculum for Excellence (the Scottish education policy) for her master’s dissertation.
