I teach undergraduate history and theology courses at Moody Bible Institute (Chicago, IL) via distance learning, as well as occasional lectures for their Study Abroad programmes in Scotland, England, and Germany.

Research summary

My doctoral thesis focuses on the Victorian Baptist preacher Charles Haddon Spurgeon and biblical interpretation. I am specifically researching theological influences on Spurgeon's hermeneutical method.

Current research interests

My broader research interests include Evangelical history, studies in theology and culture, history of biblical interpretation, and the relationship of religion and American politics.
