Sitong Zhang

Thesis title: Narratives Unbound: Deconstructing Theatrical Representations of Auschwitz and Its Victims Through Post-Structural Lenses

Background

Sitong Zhang is a PhD student in European Theatre at The University of Edinburgh. She researches the interpretation of Holocaust plays through post-structural lenses. Her research interests include Holocaust literature, literary theory, and philosophy (especially theories of Julia Kristeva, Mikhail Bakhtin, Gilles Deleuze and Michel Foucault), and postmodern theatre.

Qualifications

She holds an MA in Comparative Literature from University College London (UK) and a BA in Translation and Interpreting from North China Electric Power University (Beijing, China).
