Background

I am a molecular and statistical biologist with a background in both laboratory based experimental and statistical analyses. I am currently a member (Researcher-Co-Investigator) of the core team leading a UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council grant supporting the Lothian Birth Cohort 1936 (LBC1936) waves 6 and 7 data collection and scientific analyses. I have over 20 years of experience working with the Lothian Birth Cohorts, Generation Scotland, UK Biobank and several international consortia, including the Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE) consortium, to identify molecular contributions to adult cognitive function, cognitive decline and other aging-related traits. My current research is focused on multi-omics investigations into cognitive aging and dementia.
