Background
As a member of the Marketing and Communications team Roy is involved with facilitating the PPLS websites as a means to marketing our teaching programmes, research opportunities and providing our students with support. Roy oversees the operations and maintenance of the websites and provides support in liaison with the local technical and College web teams. Advertising the events being run by the various research seminars, reading and interest groups within the School for Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences is one of Roy's specific remits, as is graphic design support. Roy provides cover for other team members presenting news on the websites and the digital material on the School display screens in the Psychology and Dugald Stewart Buildings.
In liaison with the Operations and Management team and the Postgraduate Office team the maintenance of the faculty and student lists on the websites also falls under Roy's remit with assistance provided for the publication of profiles.
As the primary web editor Roy liaises with all the other School teams providing web content for our undergraduate students, postgraduate students and research faculty to ensure consistency across the School websites.
