Background
Rona joined the University of Edinburgh as Director of Strategic Planning & Insight in August 2021, and became Deputy Secretary for Governance and Strategic Planning in 2022.
Having begun her career with the NHS, Rona worked at the University of Edinburgh for nine years as a Strategic Planner and Senior Strategic Planner. In 2013 she joined the University of Strathclyde as their Deputy Director of Strategy & Policy; she became Director in 2016, joining the University’s Executive Team in 2017.
Rona has been a member of a number of cross-sector groups, including with Universities Scotland, the Scottish Funding Council and multi-agency groups.
