  • Postdoctoral studies in Stanford then establishing my own laboratory in London on the structure and function of human MHC molecules and their interactions with T cells
  • Became Deputy Director for Research at the Anthony Nolan Research Institute, based at the Royal Free Hospital in London, working on immune reconstitution after haematopoietic stem cell transplant
  • Moved to Edinburgh in 2007 to join the CRM
