Ms Matilde Masetti Placci
Thesis title: Newly tinted glasses? Revisiting international law's unity (and fragmentation) through the theories of Georg Jellinek, Maurice Hauriou and Santi Romano
After completing her Bachelor of Arts at Sciences Po Paris, Matilde moved to London to pursue a Bachelor of Laws at University College London, where she achieved a First Class degree in 2021. She then attained a Master of Laws with distinction at the University of Edinburgh, where she focused on international law and legal theory, and has since stayed to pursue her PhD in international law.
Since 2022, Matilde has coached the University's Jessup team.

Matilde's research interests include: the history of international law, legal theory, theory of human rights, technology and international law and technology and the welfare state.
