Biography

Background

Mahrad joined the department in 2020. Previously, he was an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He received his PhD from MIT in 2011.

Current research interests

Philosophy of Language (reference, attitude reports, generics, context, language models); Philosophy of Mind (mental content and its role in the explanation of behavior, first-person thought, and the possibility of AI)
