Background

I completed my MSc in Animal Biosciences at the University of Guelph, where I examined how consumer views of poultry housing aligned with the current welfare literature. Following my academic career, I began working with layer producers as an on-farm auditor. I have a keen interest in the science-policy interface as it pertains to agriculture, which includes the topics of epidemiology, food safety, and animal behaviour.

I am currently working with Prof. Lisa Boden on the Scottish Government funded Avian Influenza Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases (EEID) project, which aims to identify how data and outputs from field studies and modelling frameworks can be better presented for use by relevant stakeholder audiences.
