Jenny Sharma

Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Co-ordinator

Background

I am the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Co-ordinator for the Advanced Care Research Centre, which is a £20M multi-disciplinary research programme to support older adults to live independently in their own homes or in supported care environments. I am also the PPIE Lead for the £4M NIHR Artificial Intelligence and Multimorbidity Clustering in Individuals, Space and Clinical Context (AIM CISC) programme.

A key part of my role is ensuring that the voices of older adults and people living with multiple long-term conditions are integrated throughout these projects to ensure that the research  is person-centred.

I have previously managed the public involvement in research programme for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and developed an international public involvement group for a project focusing on patient reported outcomes in multiple sclerosis.
