Background
I lecture on post-graduate and undergraduate programmes in Performance Psychology, Applied Sport Science and Physical Education at the Univerity of Edinburgh.
I have applied psychology to professional performers from international level sport to business. I have worked with the FIA Institute Young Driver Excellence Academy 2011-2015, Pirelli Star Driver programme 2009-10, and the UK Motor Sport Association Race & Rally Elite programmes 2005-2010. Previously I provided consultant services to the Scottish Institute for Sport (badminton, swimming & curling), British Paralympic Association team at the 1998 World Championships, and various individual sports performers (including track and field athletics, rugby union, swimming, windsurfing, shooting, trials riding). I have been an advisor to the BBC on learning and performance.
I am a Chartered Psychologist (Associate Fellow, British Psychological Society), a Registered Sport and Exercise Psychologist (Health & Care Professions Council) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
