Background
I have been a Research Nurse at the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic since 2022.
I received a 1:1 Bachelor Adult Nursing degree from the University of Edinburgh and has completed further studies at the University of Edinburgh, receiving a Merit grade MSc in Advanced Nursing specialising in Leadership and Public Health Policy. Before joining the Anne Rowling Clinic, I was previously employed by NHS Lothian, where I worked within Vascular Surgery and continue my clinical work alongside my career in research.
My career in research at the Anne Rowling Clinic has included involvement in a mixture of clinical drug trials (such as MND-SMART and Lighthouse II), research trials (such as FUTURE-MS2), along with a few independent and nurse lead research projects. These independent projects include a plethora of different research topics from epidemiological and population based studies, research into trial participation, and research into the NHS workforce, where I have recently joined a NES commission onto competency mapping for Advanced Nurse Specialists in Neurology
