Elena Santi (PhD student)

Thesis title: Narrative fiction as a mirror and a window: Exploring adolescents' reading experiences

Background

I am a PhD student within Moray House School of Education and Sport. My primary interest is how literature may support children and young people’s wellbeing and understanding of themselves and others.

My career includes experience as a bookseller and a substitute teacher in nursery and primary schools in Italy. In addition, I volunteered for many years as a Scout leader, working with young people aged 11-21.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Literature - Università Degli Studi di Padova.

MA in Children’s Literature - University of Roehampton.
