Biography

Background

Ed joined the Educational Design and Engagement team in August 2020 and supports staff and students across the University in the use of our centrally supported Learning Technologies. Ed has many years of experience supporting learning and teaching activities in the University, developing a keen interest in virtual learning environments and assessment platforms. He has worked at the University of Edinburgh since 2011 in a variety of roles from postgraduate admissions in CAHSS to teaching administration in Biological Sciences.

Ed trained as a musician and has previously worked as a violinist/violist and instrumental teacher. He maintains an interest in music with technology in the development of virtual musical instruments.
