Biography

Background

Ismar has a PhD in Virology from Imperial College London and has worked as a research fellow at Trinity College Dublin, the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, the Roslin Institute and the Pirbright Institute.  He is a poxvirus specialist, with a special focus on virus-host interactions and viral inhibition of signalling pathways.

He joined the CMVM Research Office in October 2022.
