Programme Administrator for the PG Cert/PG Dip/MSc Clinical Education

Background

I am the eProgramme Support Officer for the MSc Clinical Education.   I have a key role in supporting students with the non-academic aspects of study so that their time on our programme runs as smoothly as possible.  I am keen to make sure that students receive a quick response and a good experience, leaving them free to concentrate on their studies.  I find my job rewarding, interesting and really enjoyable. 

My role includes:

  • Providing support and guidance to students throughout their study 
  • Supporting our programme staff in the everyday running of the programme
  • Being the first point of contact for programme enquiries 
  • Working closely with the Admissions Tutor to guide applicants through the admissions process
  • Setting up student IT accounts for the online software including Learn, Teams and the Student Channel and providing technical support when required
  • Maintaining the programme website and updating/uploading course materials, tutorial links and tutorial recordings to Learn
  • Producing programme and course documentation
  • Managing the student record, including matriculation, course results and the final award

Qualifications

  • BA (Hons) Business Studies
  • A levels and GCSEs
  • NVQ 2 in Customer Care in Education
  • Open University course in Managing Personal Finances - to advise HE students on funding

Responsibilities:

Mentor for a new programme administrator in the College.
