Background
Ana completed her undergraduate degree in Biotechnology from 2014 to 2018 at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), gaining both wet and dry lab experience in animal and plant molecular bioscience. She extended her dry lab expertise through an Erasmus + internship at the University of Edinburgh focused in epigenetics (2017) and her undergrad thesis in transcriptomics at the Department for Animal Science and Tecnology in the Polytechnic University of Valencia (2018), which obtained the XI ANVEPI Forum Best Talk award. In 2018, she moved to the UK where she joined the Precision Medicine DTP and since then, she has been working towards her PhD, focusing on elucidating the genetic insights of retinal vascular phenotypes using UK Biobank.
