The Exceptional Team Award

This award is given to a team that has delivered an outstanding project and/or initiative that has benefited the staff and/or student community in the last year.

Criteria for this award:

  • Demonstrable commitment to each other, working with integrity, inclusion, cooperation and respect.
  • Creates a supportive working culture where each member of the team feels valued and appreciated.
  • Delivered a project or initiative that drew on the strengths and talents of all team members through difficult times and/or exceptional challenges.

The Student Support Team in PPLS are CONSISTENTLY excellent in their timely, well-informed, and thoughtful responses to enquiries from students and personal tutors, on a huge range of complex issues. Behind the scenes there must be a really well-thought through structure for planning, since they achieve so much….and nothing ever seems to fall through the cracks. I cannot sing their praises enough. The quotation text is a mandatory field.

Awards ceremony

The winners of the 2022 CAHSS Colleague Recognition Awards were announced at the awards ceremony on Monday, 6 June 2022.

The Colleague Recognition Awards celebrate and showcase the hard work and achievements of staff from across the College.

Katie Keltie, Head of Postgraduate Administration, was also highly commended at the ceremony after being shortlisted for the Head of College Award for Exceptional Service. This award celebrates individuals who have been dedicated, positive, and trusted by colleagues over many years, and continue to make a lasting impact on the College community.

The ceremony, hosted by Professor Dorothy Miell, Head of College, saw winners announced for each of the nine categories. Winners received a trophy designed by students from Edinburgh College of Art.

Congratulations to all of the finalists and winners!
