Background

Barbara joined the CME in 2006 as a Clinical Skills Facilitator and is based within the Emergency Care, Clinical and Resuscitation Skills team (ECCARS). Barbara teaches on all aspects of the Clinical and Resuscitation teaching of the 6 years of the undergraduate programme.

Barbara has had a varied Nursing career with a special interest in Intensive Care (General and Neuro-medicine) and Community District Nursing. Since staring within the ECCARS Team, she has a keen interest in education and has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education.

 Whilst responsible for certain aspects of clinical skills, she has a keen interest in trying to make the students' transfer of clinical skills for the simulated environment into the clinical ward area more linear.
