Thesis title: Impact of climate change on school education: Perspectives and voices of adolescent Adivasi girls in India
Background
I am a first year PhD researcher at The University of Edinburgh. My topic is the Impact of climate change on school education: Perspectives and voices of Adivasi adolescent girls in India. I am interested in a post-colonial feminist methodology and collaborative research with young people.
I am an activist researcher with over 11 years of experience in youth engagement, education, gender equity, local governance, and climate change. I have collaborated with several international non-governmental organisations such as UNICEF, UN Women, and Restless Development. I am currently pursuing a PhD focused on examining the impact of climate change on disadvantaged girls' education. My previous degree was from the Institute of Development Studies, UK where I studied an MA in Governance, Development and Public Policy. I received the Chevening scholarship from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office. I have extensive experience advocating with various government departments to promote inclusive policies for children and young people.
