Research summary

My research interests lie at the intersection of religion and politics, with a focus on the relationship between the domestic and international politics of American Evangelical Christians.  Some particular areas of interest are: 

- American Evangelicalism and US Foreign Policy in the Middle East and North Africa 

- American Evangelical engagement with Islam 

- Religious Governance and the politics of interfaith dialogue in Gulf states 

- Religious discourse and nationalism

- Evangelical political theology
