Thesis title: Disordered Eating and Body Image of Chinese University Students in the UK

Background

My research interest in mental health of children, adolescents and young people developed through a winding path. As an undergraduate, I started off my study in Psychology at Beijing Normal University, when I focused on educational psychology and intervention programmes to promote children's reading abilities. Proceeding that, I pursued my MSc degree in Psychology of Education at UCL Institute of Education, where I developed a perspective  in mental health research especially of young people's. With a keen interest in sociocultural influences on people's conceptualisation and mental health, eventually, body image, and disordered eating later, came into the spotlight.
