International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month 2025

A range of events will take place across the University to mark International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.

International Women's Day Lecture 2025

All are welcome to attend this year's International Women's Day Lecture on 7 March, delivered by Naeema Yaqoob Sajid, founder of Diversity+.

International Women’s Day has been around for over a hundred years, as have many of the issues that still impact women's advancement today. Days, themes and initiatives come and go, but inequalities remain. With this year's themes including #For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment and #MarchForward, this lecture dives into the purpose of this awareness day, the relevance of the themes, and why now, more than ever, pushing for change is important.
