Rail travel disruption during October and November

Information for staff on rail strike action throughout October and November 2022.

There will be disruption to ScotRail services on Saturday 29 October and Saturday 5, Monday 7 and Wednesday 9 November 2022 due to strike action.

On Saturday 29 October, ScotRail staff who are members of the RMT union will be on strike, and very limited rail services will be running. ScotRail are advising their customers to only travel if necessary and consider alternative travel options where possible.

On Saturday 5, Monday 7 and Wednesday 9 November, Network Rail staff who are members of the RMT union will take part in strike action. This is expected to affect ScotRail’s services as it will involve Network Rail staff in Scotland. ScotRail is currently assessing the impact this will have on their services.

Please speak to your line manager if you have any concerns about getting into work on these dates or would like to discuss working from home.

The most up-to-date information on the strike action can be found on the ScotRail website.
