Pensions webinars for staff - August 2021

The University is working with external providers to deliver two pensions webinars for staff.

For many people, their pension will be the main source of income in retirement. To help staff plan for the future, the University's Pensions Team are working with external provider Mercer to deliver information sessions about saving for the future, what sort of pensions and other benefits are available to you and the issues that might affect you.

The sessions will be hosted by Catriona Probert, Actuary at Mercer in Edinburgh, with whom the University has worked in the past to help deliver information on pensions.

The sessions will cover:

  • Saving for retirement, and what you need to consider
  • The different types of pension scheme available to you
  • The key benefits from pension schemes
  • The chance to ask questions of Mercer and the University Pensions Team

How to sign up

The sessions will be held online, and will take place at 31st August (3-4pm) and 9th September (10-11am). All staff are invited to attend, and can sign up via MyEd. Search 'Saving for the Future' in the MyEd event booking system:
