Programme launched for this year’s Edinburgh International Festival
The Edinburgh International Festival (EIF) have launched their 2019 Programme with over 90 events happening at 17 venues across the city.
Running from 2-26 August, EIF will bring a variety of theatre, music and dance to Edinburgh.
Performances will include a world premiere from Scotland’s national dance company Scottish Ballet, a trilogy of plays from actor Stephen Fry and a music concert from Jarvis Cocker at the Leith Theatre.
As part of the festival, the University is supporting the St Cecilia’s Hall series of recitals. We are also a partner in ‘You Are Here’ - a strand which offers audiences and artists from around the world the opportunity to consider the role of arts in our lives.
Presale tickets for staff
The University is a proud supporter of the Edinburgh International Festival, who are offering our staff the opportunity to buy presale tickets for a series of concerts featuring instruments from the historic collection at St Cecilia's Hall.
12 presale tickets have been reserved for each of the eight performances and will be offered on a first come first served basis, with staff able to book up to two tickets per person.
Staff will be able to buy these tickets from 10am on Thursday 4 April until midnight on Friday 5 April. Following this, any remaining tickets will be released for public sale at 10am on Saturday 6 April.
