Edinburgh Festival discounts for staff
University staff can take advantage of three different discounts on Edinburgh Festival performances.
Edinburgh International Festival
University of Edinburgh staff can get a 50% discount on selected shows at the Edinburgh International Festival.
As Edinburgh International Festival Partners, all University staff can enjoy half price tickets for a selection of this year’s must-see shows. This includes the opening performances of Peter Gynt and The Secret River, as well as the world premiere of Scottish Ballet’s The Crucible.
Some of the shows are also part of the You Are Here programme, a series of performances and conversations from artists around the globe who invite you to explore where we are now and where we are heading, which has been designed and delivered in partnership with the University.

Assembly Festival
During the opening weekend of this year’s Fringe Festival (31 July to 4 August), staff can enjoy £5 tickets at Assembly Festival shows.
To access these £5 tickets all you have to do is bring a valid Staff ID to any of the Assembly Festival Box Offices. Please note that this offer is not available online or over the phone. Tickets in this offer are subject to availability for participating shows on participating dates. They are strictly limited and will be issued on a first come first served basis, and you can purchase up to 6 tickets across this offer. More information on the shows and box office locations can be found at the Assembly Festival website below.
Staff can also take advantage of concession rate tickets to all Assembly shows throughout the festival. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone or in person at Assembly Festival Box Offices. A valid Staff ID must be presented at point of purchase or collection and will also be required to present to Front of House Staff upon entering the performance space.
Concession rate tickets can only be accessed where applicable.
