McEwan Hall Pathway to Enlightenment

For a limited time only, we invite you to mark your enlightened journey by having your name recognised on a tile in the restored Victorian concourse of McEwan Hall.

A named tile on the Pathway to Enlightenment

Your gift of £115 will support students at the University and will help to create a lasting legacy to those that have come before you and for those that will continue after, from Nobel laureates to future explorers, pioneers and creators.

There are a limited number of tiles available and the appeal will close when the Pathway is full, so please donate £115 as soon as possible before 31 July 2018 to have your name recognised in the Victorian concourse.

About the Pathway

McEwan Hall on graduation day

The concept for the Pathway to Enlightenment was developed by two students from Edinburgh College of Art, who entered and won the competition to design the Pathway. They took a wide range of images from the University’s collections, from Botany to Shakespeare, reflecting the diversity of subjects studied here at the University.

Their joint concept was based on the movement of ideas and people through the University and the whole being greater than the sum of the many.
