Appointment: Lee Hamill
Lee Hamill has been appointed as the University’s new Director of Finance.
Currently Deputy Director of Finance for the University, Lee, who succeeds Phil McNaull, will begin his role on 1 January 2019.
Lee joined the University of Edinburgh in 2015 having worked previously for BT and Pricewaterhousecoopers.
“We’re delighted at the appointment of Lee Hamill to this senior role within the University at an important time in the Higher Education sector, and I’m sure he will do an excellent job,” said Director of Corporate Services Hugh Edmiston.
“He takes over from Phil McNaull who has played a pivotal role at Edinburgh during his time in office, running the University’s finance function with great professionalism and success.”
Lee is a qualified accountant, a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and a graduate of the University of Edinburgh.
“It's a great privilege to be appointed as Director of Finance and I'm looking forward to leading the Finance team as we work to help the University achieve its ambitious plans,” he said.
