UniForum benchmark exercise

Staff are taking part in a multi-university study of administration and support services.

UniForum is a strategic initiative that will provide the University with insight into how the professional services that support our teaching and research activities are resourced.

Staff effectiveness survey

A cross section of staff have been invited to participate in an anonymous survey on the effectiveness of the University’s key professional services, which is seeking responses from staff across academic and professional services.

Staff should already have received an email from the external company who run the UniForum exercise with a personalised link to the survey, titled ‘UniForum Service Effectiveness Survey’ – please check if it might have gone to your clutter folder.

Staff exercises

Colleagues are continuing to complete the activity coding exercise which will allow us to assess how we currently deliver our services and how this might be improved. Support for this process is available from the University programme team led by Jim Galbraith at uniforum@ed.ac.uk.

Further information

This is the first year the University has participated in this activity. Barry Neilson, Director of Student Systems & Administration and Service Excellence Programme Lead, recently attended a conference where colleagues from a range of Russell Group, Australian and New Zealand Universities fed back on their UniForum experiences.
