A coffee afternoon takes place in Teviot’s New Amphion from 1-3pm on Wednesday 17 May.

Monthly events

The event marks the start of the Staff Pride Network’s monthly coffee afternoons.

These aim to provide members of the Network, and those interested in joining, with an opportunity to meet up and get involved.

This month, in honour of IDAHOBT the Network will be sharing stories about positive LGBT+ experiences from around the University, as well as promoting the importance of allies within the Network.

Organisers will also be collecting stories and messages from those who wish to participate in a special IDAHOBT video project.

Film screening

The Staff Pride Network will be shining a light on bisexual+ experiences with a screening of Desiree Akhavan’s wry comedy Appropriate Behaviour (2014). The film will be followed by a panel discussion featuring a diverse group of voices from within the University community and beyond and will look at some of the themes and issues raised in the film, as we delve deeper into perceptions of bisexuality with our panellists and audience.

The film will take place in Lecture Theatre 4, The Business School, 59 Buccleuch Place on Friday 19 May, 18.00-21.00.
