Update: 2016/17 national pay negotiations
Trade unions reject final pay offer.
The 1.1% final pay offer made by the University and College Employers’ Association (UCEA), who negotiate pay on behalf of the University and other higher education institutions has been rejected by the five trade unions, EIS, GMB, UCU, UNISON and Unite.
As a result, there will be a delay in implementing the 2016/17 uplift in base pay. University staff eligible for incremental progression increases will have these processed in the August 2016 payroll.
