Parking permits 2017
All current Central Area, King’s Buildings (Peripheral) and Easter Bush parking permits will expire on 31 December 2016.
If you wish to park from 1 January 2017, an online application form should be submitted no later than Sunday 13 November 2016. After this date the applications will close temporarily for review and you will be unable to make an application in time for the new session commencing.
Please be aware that current parking permits are not automatically renewed for the new session and all permit holders who wish to be considered must submit a new application.
Parking Permit Charges in Session 2017
Current parking permit prices will be frozen and there will be no increase in cost for session 2017 staff or student parking permits.
Limited Parking Provision - Central Area Car Parks
There is significant pressure on Central Area car parks and parking spaces are very limited. As in previous years we fully expect demand to be far greater than the number of available spaces and we would therefore ask that if you are considering applying for a permit you consider whether alternative methods of travel to work are available to you before making an application.
Please note that the Parking Office send parking permits to School/Department addresses and not home/term time addresses therefore please ensure you provide a full School/Department address on the application form. This will ensure the prompt and safe delivery of any correspondence/parking permits sent. A threshold number of points required in order to qualify for a parking permit will be set for 2017 dependent upon number of applications received against the physical parking spaces that will be available in our car parks.
