HR Deputy Director appointed

The University has appointed Margaret Ayers as Deputy Director of Human Resources.

She succeeds Eilidh Fraser and will take up the role with effect from 10 March 2014.

Mrs Ayers has considerable experience in human resources and is well known in the higher education sector.

She joins Edinburgh from the University of Kent, where she has been Director of Human Resources since 2008.

Prior to that post, she held various senior HR posts in the education and private sector, and she has previously lived and worked in Edinburgh.

I am delighted to be returning to the city of Edinburgh and working with colleagues across the University in implementing the new HR strategy. I very much look forward to meeting people and developing good working relationships with staff and our trade union colleagues.”
