Spreading the word on Gaelic

A Gaelic Fair will be held in the University’s Informatics Forum on 13 November.

Staff and students are welcome to attend. They will have the chance to find out more about Gaelic at the University, in Edinburgh, and nationally.

Taster sessions

Students from the Department of Celtic & Scottish Studies will run hourly taster sessions on Gaelic language and culture throughout the afternoon.

Tea and coffee will be available at the event, which will run from 2pm-5pm.

Sustainable future for Gaelic

The fair will be followed by the official launch of the University’s ‘Gaelic Language Plan 2013-18’.

The Plan lays out how the University will contribute to creating a sustainable future for Gaelic in Scotland.

Staff and students wishing to attend the launch and reception following the fair should RSVP to gaelic@ed.ac.uk.
