National winners in procurement

The University has been recognised for outstanding achievement in procurement.

The procurement office was named GO Team of the Year at the 2012/13 National Government Opportunities Excellence in Public Procurement Awards.

Focus and drive

The University was praised for its integrated approach to procurement, as well as its focus and drive to continually learn, improve and share its procurement knowledge.

The University’s 18-strong procurement team is responsible for encouraging and promoting best procurement practice, aiming for value for money and sustainability.

Dedicated awards

Organised by procurement specialists BiP Solutions, the National GO Awards are the only awards dedicated to public procurement in the UK.

The University’s procurement office was also crowned GO Team of the Year at the 2011/12 GO Awards Scotland event last year.

On top of the GO Scotland Award, the procurement team has been recognised in the National GO Awards against high-quality competition among UK peers. It is a springboard for continuous improvement in what are surely challenging times.
