EUSA festival to focus on postgraduates

Edinburgh postgraduate students will have the chance to focus on career development at the EUSA Postgraduate Festival 2012.

Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA) will stage the event in collaboration with the University’s Careers Service, the Institute for Academic Development, Edinburgh Research and Innovation, Launch.ed and the Scholarships Office.

A highlight of the three-day programme will be the EUSA Postgraduate Conference, where students will be able to submit work for feedback and view the work of fellow postgraduates.

Other events include:

  • employer, careers and networking sessions
  • presentations
  • taster sessions
  • practical workshops
  • social gatherings, including a film screening and a ceilidh

Wide range

A wide range of topics will be covered, including dissertation writing, funding, study methods, problem solving and entrepreneurship.

Some events are specifically targeted at MSc and PhD students, although most sessions will be useful to all students.
