DEI funding deadline

The deadline for applications from Schools to the Distance Education Initiative (DEI) fund is 27 April 2012.

Launched in 2010, this fund is available to help Schools develop new online learning programmes.

Advice and support

Applicants to the DEI fund are strongly encouraged to contact their DEI College rep for advice before submitting their application.

DEI College reps are:

  • Dr Sian Bayne (Humanities & Social Sciences)
  • Professor Jeremy Bradshaw (Medicine & Veterinary Medicine)
  • Dr Judy Hardy (Science & Engineering)

Anyone considering an application should also discuss their needs with appropriate support services teams, such as their liaison librarian or learning technology advisor, as soon as possible.

The DEI team has established a new mailing list to provide regular project updates.

DEI mailing list

The Online Distance Learning Hub was also launched in January.

The Hub is an online space to enable staff to discuss issues and topics related to online distance learning.
