The awards recognise participants who take action on the University’s social responsibility and sustainability agenda.

The awards are run by EUSA, with support from the University and Transition Edinburgh University.

We hope these awards – part of a national scheme running at 35 universities and colleges – will recognise new thinking and best practices at the University. They recognise the achievements of schools and departments within the University and empower individuals to make a real difference.

Go green to win gold

Teams are invited to demonstrate how their project has gone beyond basic greening activity to contribute to local and global wellbeing.

Teams of four or more members can record their achievements in a simple online workbook.

Participants can aim for bronze, silver and gold awards.

Special awards will also be given for submitting innovative ideas in areas such as energy saving and cutting personal carbon footprints.

An awards ceremony will be held in May.
