Student awarded at U21 event

An Edinburgh student has received an award at the Universitas 21 Undergraduate Research Conference in Melbourne.

Chinese language student Andrew Jones was recognised for Most Imaginative Research in the poster presentation category.

Andrew earned the accolade for his work on classical Chinese Landscape poet Xie Lingyun.

Global network

Universitas 21 is an international network of 23 leading research-intensive universities in 15 countries.

The University of Edinburgh has been a member since the network was established in 1997.

Events and projects

Hosted by member institutions, the Universitas 21 Undergraduate Research conferences take place three times a year.

These events seek to provide students from around the globe with a platform to showcase research to students and academics.

Universitas 21 hosts a range of projects and events targeted at both staff and students of the network’s participating universities.
